Reading 2A
The goal of Level 2A is for students to comprehend and fluently read aloud passages of about 50 words in length within one minute, to write Level 2A words independently and neatly and to increase their vocabulary while learning the function of nouns, verbs and adjectives.
● Level 2A Goals:
Develop independent reading, writing, and spelling skills
Identify nouns, verbs, and adjectives
Learn singular and plural forms of nouns and verbs
Learn comparative and superlative forms of adjectives
● Good Work Skills in this level include
Writing name, start time and end time the assignment
Reading and carefully following directions
Writing answers neatly on the line provided
Writing the same size as the words on the page
Answering problems and correcting mistakes independently
● Time Goal:
1-2 minutes per page
The study time goal is 15-20 minutes per day.
Your Instructor will continually adjust the number of pages your child is studying to adhere to this goal
● Grading Reminders:
Students must be able to learn from their mistakes daily
Take the time to grade and let them find and correct their own errors independently
Students can use what they have learned and apply it to the next day’s assignment allowing them to move smoothly and independently through the assignments
